This is the first song I wrote on acoustic guitar a little over 2 years ago. It's also known as "Alzheimer's." "All We Are Is Writ In Water, Etched In Sand (Alzheimer's)" i am lost in the aisles of time. i'm like a child but I'm 69. where is my mother? where is my dad? reality blurs and scuffs my past. will we all just float away? lost at sea, left to drown? or will we be swimming out before we drown? it's like each day I'm at the beach, the tide comes in and then recedes, and when the water pulls at me, my mind, it drifts, further out to sea. and in 50 years if i get the disease that rips out the plumbing of my memories and makes my mind drip like a broken sink, if you love me you'll fix the leak. and in 50 years if i get the disease that makes me forget what is dear to me, those friendly snowball fights turned ugly fast, sledding at night down poor-lit paths, yeah we are all of the sea every coast is family we don't die we never dream we go home and go to sleep you recede you recede into my dreams into my dreams you feast you feast on what i've seen now i can't see i am blind i am blind all is white all over my mind will Santa forget the kids? prognosis means no Christmas will we forget to die? and in doing so save Mankind? will Jesus forget his past? how did he scar his hands? will time forget to fly? and be pissed off it missed its flight?"--Brandon Thomas
